I’m back with another week of outfits. It’s still very much not warm here, that ocean keeps the air cool well into spring. We’ve had a few nice days sprinkled in but for the most part I’m layered up in sweaters and light jackets. New England in the spring is weird because you’ll wake up to 45 degrees and at 5pm it can be 65 degrees. We haven’t been up to Vermont in a while but I’m sure the temperature changes are even more drastic up there. Here’s a recap of the last week and what I wore, you can see the prior week here.
A Week of Outfits 5.4.21
Tuesday
I got my hair done! It was ridiculously exciting to finally get a cut and color (and blowout). My hair was so long it felt great to cut off some length and lighten up the color a bit for summer. I got this DÔEN sweater when they had a sale I think in 2020 (?), pretty sure it was Black Friday. I have a few pieces from them and I really love them. They’re well made, beautifully tailored and very comfortable. I didn’t realize when I bought this sweater it was cropped which initially I was kind of bummed about (it was final sale) but now I wear it all the time. It is one of the few sweaters I have that also looks good paired with a dress because of the length.
DÔEN Hermione Sweater (it’s not on their site right now but will probably be back in the fall), AG Isabelle Jeans (not exact same but closest I could find, search ‘AG Isabelle’ for the style), Madewell Court Sneakers c/o
Wednesday
Marin’s swim class day so I usually wear something comfy and easy. My brothers and his friends started a hot sauce biz and also made some merch. I love this sweatshirt. The color, the fit, it’s so soft, and I love the simple embroidered pineapple logo. It’s unisex sizing so I got a small (it’s tucked under if I pulled it down it goes to my upper thighs).

Thursday
Very long computer work day that started with my annual exam at my OB. Some unsolicited advice, if something is ‘off’ don’t wait to bring it up with your doc. I’m fine, but should have checked in sooner about some postpartum stuff that I wrote off as my “new normal” when in fact, it’s not normal. Anyhoo just my two cents. Thursday was cold, I wear my White & Warren Travel wrap around the house all the time because I absolutely refuse to turn the heat on in April or May for that matter.

Friday
I had calls all morning and then worked on the re-design for my newsletter (going out this Friday sign up HERE). I got this sweater from Sezane two winters ago and I absolutely love it. And I talk about the style in a bit more detail here.

Sunday
This was my outfit for half the day on Sunday. We took Marin for a bike ride in the morning because it was gorgeous outside. While she napped in the afternoon Craig and I refinished the deck. It was one of those REALLY lucky days where Marin slept for 3 hours which was just enough time for us to finish the job. I documented that process so I will share this week on @thecozyranch.
Madewell Jeans c/o (these run slightly big I sized down), Madewell Blouse c/o, Madewell Court Sneakers
Monday
Finally dress weather! The temp read 66 and I knew EXACTLY what I was going to wear. This was another DÔEN Black Friday sale purchase I got last year. I really wanted this dress so I waited for their sale and I’m so glad I did. It’s VERY comfortable and the fabric is really breezy and lightweight. They have several different prints in this style on their site.

Love all the outfits. Just wanted to come here to say keep em coming (I did last week as well). You’ve inspired me and i’m going to get dressed every work day! By noon! It’s a goal. Also…i’m up for a promotion in the coming weeks which comes with a pay bump and if I get i’m rewarding myself with either something from Doen or Sezane. I’m slowly moving from *buy all the things* to *buy only a few nice things/buy all the things at a thrift store*
I love seeing your weekly outfits. Happy they are back!
