The Best White Sneakers for Summer

The forecast this week in Vermont is just too good. With temps in the 70s and even 80s (!) the town is buzzing and I’ve got summer on my mind. I’ve been planning so many summer outfits in my head and I can’t wait to finally wear some this week. White sneakers are one of my favorite wardrobe staples because they are so easy to style and what’s better than a cute outfit that’s also comfortable? White sneakers are simple and classic, and whether you’re sporting dresses or denim shorts they look great with pretty much everything.

Today I am rounding up the best white sneakers for summer with sustainable brands like Cariuma, Veja, Rothy’s and more. I wear my Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Sneakers all the time. I’ve had the same pair for years and they are still in great condition. They’re super comfortable and the 70s oxford sneakers are the original style so they have a bit of a retro vibe. They also have extra padding which means more comfort. I’m usually a size 7 in most shoes and 7.5 in sneakers. I have the chuck taylors in a size 7 and they fit well, most reviews say they run slightly large. You’ve probably heard of Veja by now (as seen on Meghan Markle and many celebs and bloggers). I actually have the V-10 sneakers but I’ve been eyeing the Veja Recife Sneakers for a long time now. I really like the velcro straps and minimalistic look for white leather sneakers. Everybody’s favorite washable shoes come in a lace-up sneaker version. No need to worry about dirtying up your white kicks because these are 100% machine washable. I got these high-tops a few months ago and they are so awesome. I really like the slight platform sole, it gives a little height without feeling like a big clunky sneaker. They are so comfortable and really don’t need any break in period which is a huge win in my book. The marshmallow, which is a creamy off white, is made with a canvas outer and lugged soles. I got the Madewell court sneakers last summer and they’re very cushy with comfortable insoles and sturdy, made with recycled leather that comes from a Gold-certified tannery. The outsoles are made of recycled rubber and rice husks. These were a tiny bit stiff at first and took a few wears to break in but are really comfy once you do. I don’t think they have enough support for outdoor hard court tennis but they are also really comfy for everyday wear.
