Warm Fall Clothes for Toddlers

We spend a lot of time outdoors in Vermont. As the weather gets colder it’s all about cozy layers to stay warm and comfortable. Toddlers can be picky about the clothes they wear, so when I find something that works, I stick with it! These are some of the best warm fall clothes for toddlers that are great quality and will keep your little one toasty.

Outerwear

L.L. Bean Hi Pile Fleece Jacket – This is an adorable and super cozy fleece with a great hood (that stays on). It’s very durable and washes well. I sized up for Marin (though I think it runs true to size). For chilly days all she needs is a light layer underneath.

L.L. Bean Down Jacket – When it’s extra cold this is our go-to jacket (and this is her winter coat too). It has a cozy fleece lining and a warm wind blocking hood. It runs true to size.

Clothes

Organic Cotton Long Sleeve Tee – I basically got this long sleeve tee in every color and the stripe. It’s incredibly soft, great quality and thick organic cotton so it’s a warm enough layer under coats. It fits true to size.

Velour Leggings – These ribbed leggings are great. They’re nice and thick so they keep Marin’s legs toasty on chilly adventures.

Pajamas

Organic Cotton Pajamas – Hard to beat Hanna Andersson PJs. They’re a thick cotton, super soft and great quality. When she doesn’t want to wear a sleep sack she sleeps in these with socks on.

L.L. Bean Slippers -I just got these for Marin about a week ago and she loves them. They’re toasty and have a great rubber sole on the bottom so she doesn’t slip.

Boots, Hats and Gloves

UGG Bolden Boots – I got these boots for Marin mainly because of the zipper but they have a stretchy panel on one side too which makes them really easy to get on and off. They must be comfortable because she loves to wear them! They’re also waterproof. I think these may run a little small, I went up to a 6 and they fit great.

Skida Neckwarmer – You might remember these from last year because I bought a few for myself. They’re the best neckwarmers ever. So warm and made in Vermont! They makes kids styles too and when it’s extra chilly these are perfect for staying warm.

Patagonia Fleece Hat – Marin grew out of her baby size so I got her another one in this style. She wore this all fall and winter last year. Super soft and warm, not itchy and she (usually) keeps it on.

Patagonia Mittens – Cozy fleece mittens with a ribbed cuff so they stay on!
