I am sharing some of our favorite farm stands in Vermont, what to get while you’re there and when is the best time to go. Dutton Farm Stand in Manchester Center, Vermont has everything from artisan olive oil and balsamic vinegar (apparently the best ever), maple cremees made with their own homemade maple syrup, fudge, pie, cheese and locally grown fruits and vegetables all year round. Open 8am-6pm daily, Dean Brigante’s Farm Stand in Colchester, Vermont is the best spot for the freshest and tastiest fruits and veggies. Buy and cut your own flowers and pick your own berries or buy them freshly picked. Open 8am-6pm daily.
Hartshorn’s Organic Farm Stand & Maple Sugar House
Hartshorn’s Organic Farm Stand and Maple Sugar House is VOF certified organic Vermont family owned and run farm, produces and sells fresh, delicious and healthy vegetables, fruits and flowers. Located in Waitsfield, Vermont, stock up on homemade maple syrup, farm fresh eggs, the yummiest apple pie, pumpkins and gourds. Hartshorn’s also offers a CSA program, 4 community food festivals, food and farm tours, farm immersion program and special events.
Harlow Farm Stand
Harlow Farm Stand in Westminster, Vermont offers a variety of farm fresh goods including farm raised meat, dairy, vegetables, delicious corn, salsa, plants and jams. They also have unique offerings like crafts and stained glass. Additionally, they have a lovely cafe called, Cafe Loco, that is a favorite amongst locals and those who travel here regularly. Cafe Loco is open 7am-3pm daily and 8am-3pm on Sundays. The Harlow Farm Stand is open 9am-6pm daily.

On the Edge Farmstand in Woodstock, Vermont is a small, family owned and operated farm selling natural meats, preserves, pies, vegetables and fruits. Jess talks about the pickles available here ALL THE TIME. They’re made by a local Vermont farmer and according to Jess, they’re the best dill pickles she’s ever had! Open 10am-5pm Wednesday-Saturday.

Slice of Earth Farmstand in Wolcott, Vermont has a great selection of fresh produce and delicious baked goods including pies and breads and fresh pressed pear cider. Open Monday-Wednesday 10am-3pm, Thursday-Saturday 10am-6pm (closed Sunday).

River’s Edge Farmstand in Barton, Vermont is the perfect place for fresh fruits and vegetables, ice cream and the onsite food truck, Copper Plate Food Truck has great lunch and dinner offerings. Open 6 days a week 10:30am-6:30pm, Sunday 10:30am-3pm, (closed Wednesdays) May – October.
