OUTDOOR COLD WEATHER STYLE GIFT IDEAS

Sponsored by Backcountry and ShopStyle

If it’s wrong to create a gift guide for yourself I don’t want to be right. In all seriousness though I get so many requests to share my favorite cold weather clothes from jackets to sweaters to boots, so today I am partnering with Backcountry to share my outdoor favorites for staying warm during the winter months. These are my top picks to treat yourself and the gear you’ll wear all winter and for years to come.

P.S. For your full-priced items that aren’t on sale you can use my code JESSANN15 for 15% off your purchase (exclusions apply).

Puffy Jacket

I call this my fancy puffy jacket because it looks so cool in person. It’s slightly shiny, very lightweight and SO warm. Did I mention it’s also made with 100% recycled materials? I love that it has a hood too which makes it extra toasty. I sized up to a medium for extra room to layer.

Long Parka

I’ve had the Down With It Parka for two years now and there’s nothing better for those REALLY cold days. The longer length keeps my legs warm and toasty. The detachable hood is a great feature along with the hand warmer pockets. It’s also made with recycled down and recycled polyester. I recommend sizing up in this.

Blundstone Boots

Three cheers for Blundstone boots. Incredibly comfortable, durable and warm. Great for hiking but also stylish. Craig has been wearing his all day doing construction and said they’re the most comfortable work boots he’s had. My mom has them in green too (photo below) and I love that color too.

Prana Leggings

I love these leggings and have been living in them since I got them. They are super comfortable and thick but not restrictive. These and the Patagonia leggings are the two pairs I wear non-stop all winter long.

Smartwool Socks

There are not better cold weather socks than Smartwool. I have a drawer full of smartwool socks for hiking, dog walks, xc skiing, snowboarding, and lounging around the house. They keep your feet toasty, warm and dry.

Patagonia Mock Neck Sweater

I was looking for a warm, slightly chunky, eco-friendly sweater for winter and this one from Patagonia checks all the boxes. I love it in the forge grey color because it goes with everything. It’s great worn casually or dressed up for holiday. Perfectly cozy for holidays at home.

Fleece Gloves

My hands are ALWAYS cold and I have terrible circulation so I can’t leave the house in cold weather without warm gloves or mittens. This pair from Patagonia is made from 100% recycled materials. I got a small, and also ordered these mittens in the green for really cold weather.

Cashmere Beanie

I have the White + Warren cashmere beanie in several colors because it is hands down my favorite winter hat. It’s so warm, not itchy, and doesn’t give you the dreaded hat head.

I want everything! Questions- did you size up in the Patagonia mock neck? Can’t tell it it’s TTS or already oversized. Also, the Prana leggings look a little green to me but I can’t figure out exactly which color they are – do you recall? Thanks!!
