GIFTS FOR NEW MOMS AND BABIES
I get a lot of questions and requests for gift ideas for new moms and babies (maybe because I am one and I have one). I’ve got quite the list of expecting moms on my list this year (3 in my family alone!) so I wanted to share some of my favorite gift ideas. These are all great for the holidays but also totally work for an expecting or new mom any time of the year. With everything going on right now and the added stress of becoming a parent during a pandemic, hopefully some of these gift ideas bring a little joy to the loved ones on your list.

Lalo the Chair
Ok so I wish this chair was around when I did my registry (it probably was I just didn’t know about it). I bought it for Vermont because I didn’t want to lug our other one up here and OMG it’s amazing. Probably peak parent status when you’re excited about a high chair but when you’re constantly cleaning one and moving it around your small kitchen, these things matter. It’s also very lightweight, easy to clean and converts to a kids chair.

My favorite part is the booklets that give you ideas and prompts as a parent so you can help your child grow.

Pretty Please Teethers
I discovered this Black, woman-owned business over the summer and it is a one-stop-shop for all things teethers, pacifier clips and bibs. They’re products are all handmade with natural materials and food grade silicone. They also come in tons of cute color combinations.

MZ Wallace Tote
Not that I’m leaving the house much these days, but when I do and the RARE occasion Marin comes with me, this is my diaper bag and I LOVE it. It might not get as much use as it normally would but it has plenty of space for everything I need, it’s super durable and easy to clean and I love how it looks. Will definitely be my go-to for years to come.

I got this brush set when Marin was a baby and it makes such a sweet gift. It comes in a cute little box with everything you need so it grows with your baby. Marin LOVES when I brush her hair with the goat hair brush, it’s so gentle and soothing on her sensitive little head.

I will confess I did not really read any parenting or pregnancy books but I loved this one. It’s a really fun read for any expecting mom that loves astrology with lots of information about how each sign combination relates to one another.

Lake Pajamas Robe
This is one of my go-to gifts for new moms. I lived in a robe when we brought Marin home and this one is so soft and comfortable. I recommend sizing up for a comfy fit. They just came out with a new robe style called the cozy robe and it looks, very cozy. Their pajamas are also my favorites and they have sets for littles now.

Daily Harvest
One of the best things Craig and I did before Marin was stock up on frozen and pre-prepared meals. Particularly because a few weeks later we went into a stay at home order. Daily Harvest was so awesome, easy and convenient. Their smoothies are my favorite.

Lamb Lovey
I can’t believe how much Marin loves this thing. I have to pry it out of her hands sometimes to eat. It’s so soft and snuggly and totally helps put her to sleep for naps and bedtime. She loves to rub it on her face and I probably should buy an extra because there could be problems if we can’t find lamby.

The Story of You Baby Book
I actually bought this for myself a few months ago and admittedly it’s sitting on my desk BUT I plan to put it together when I take some time off over the holidays and I am really looking forward to it. It’s a beautifully made book with lots of sweet prompts throughout. It comes with a gift code for some free prints as well.

Great round-up! Like Rach, I am also going to be a new mom in 2021 and I definitely added quite a few things here to my registry! Do you have any suggestions on natural fiber stuffed animals? It’s turning out to be incredibly hard to find but you’re the first one I thought of that might have the inside scoop! Thanks for sharing!
