I always look forward to your Friday posts, but this one particularly resonates with me. I’m a therapist who has spent my professional life working with adolescent males in the justice system. I thought of many of those young men as I read the pieces on gun violence. I had a baby a few months into the pandemic and have not returned to paid work yet. The Oprah link about moms and the workforce was so so validating. It’s a huge privilege to be able to step away from paid work, but also complicated and draining to be the full time caregiver for my child with the isolation of the pandemic. Thank you for always posting such thought provoking links!
