Snow is falling outside my window in big fluffy flakes. It’s beautiful and calming, while the world right now, is not. It’s heavy, and I’ll be honest I don’t have anything profound to say. We can’t “fix” what’s happening right now with a few donations or calls to action. It’s ok to log off and do what you need to try and find some inner peace. As one of the articles I’ve linked below contemplates, sometimes help can come in the form of quiet contemplation and personal reflection. You don’t have to prove you are sad, outraged, or feeling helpless. Performative activism helps no one. I want to have answers, but I don’t, and I’m sitting with that discomfort. Please take care of yourselves.
