Happy Saturday. It’s a sunny day in Vermont and I’m sitting here waiting for my toddler to wake up, haha. The snow has mostly melted and we’re impatiently awaiting signs of spring. April can be a tough month in Vermont (and Rhode Island) with chilly weather and lots of rain but as we all know, April showers bring May flowers, and that seems worth it! Wishing all of you a great weekend.

If you’re looking for something to buy, try, read, share or pin, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the best of the week…

The Netflix movie Rescued by Ruby is based on a true story about a RI state trooper and his rescue dog. I’m a softie for any movie about a dog, especially rescues, so I bawled my eyes out. This was a fun watch.

This is a must read. CBS News hired Mick Mulvaney as a paid on-air contributor (the former director of the Office of Management and Budget under Trump). As director of OMB, he okayed the withholding of almost $400 million Congress had appropriated for Ukraine’s protection against Russia. This event was the basis for Trump’s first impeachment. Republican senators refused to hold Trump accountable, but the Government Accountability Office found that withholding the money was illegal. And yet, CBS News hired Mulvaney and simply introduced him as a former director of the OMB, saying he was the guy to explain Biden’s budget.
