A few people whose skincare recommendations I always trust mentioned that this product was their holy grail, but it wasn’t until a friend that used to work in the beauty industry said it was the one product she couldn’t live without that I decided to try SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic. It was a game changer. Not only did I notice an almost immediate difference in my skin after I started using it, but when I ran out and didn’t replenish for about a week, my skin didn’t look the same. Needless to say, I always have a backup bottle now. Of course once I tried the C E Ferulic, I was intrigued and wanted to incorporate a few other products into my routine. When SkinCeuticals reached out to see if I’d be interested in experiencing their Triple Lipid Restorative Facial, I immediately responded with SIGN. ME. UP. So a few weeks ago I went to the Facial Aesthetics Center of Rhode Island for the treatment, here’s how it went…
Triple Lipid Restorative Facial
Kerri, the medical aesthetician at Facial Aesthetics Center of RI, explained the purpose of the treatment, which essentially is to restore and replenish lost hydration. It also improves skin texture and radiance, and diminishes the appearance of dehydration lines. The results are really quite visible in the before and after below. My skin is more radiant, the lines around my mouth and eyes are softer, the puffiness around my eyes is virtually gone, and even my jawline looks more lifted. My skin felt incredible after, so clean and hydrated. Kerri started with the SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser followed by the Equalizing Toner. She then did a Micropeel for exfoliation and light extractions. My favorite part was the Vitamin C Masque (pictured) that felt cooling and so soothing. She finished with a major hydration boosting combo using the Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 and Hydrating B5 Masque, left it on for about 10 minutes and then applied SkinCeuticals sunscreen. She walked me through the process and then gave me some product recommendations based on my skin type and my concerns. Below are the products I’ve incorporated into my routine.

SkinCeuticals Products I’m Using
Before I had my Triple Lipid Restorative Facial I was using the C E Ferulic, H.A. Intensifier, Retinol 0.5, and the B5 Masque, all of which I absolutely love. Kerri had a few additional suggestions and after using these products for about a month now I am super happy with the results. If you want to see a quick little video of my morning routine click here.
Gentle Cleanser – Basically what the name says, a very gentle, creamy cleanser that also removes makeup without drying skin.
Equalizing Toner – This toner gently exfoliates while helping to balance the pH of your skin (super important for managing breakouts).
C E Ferulic – The game changer right here. This vitamin C serum protect your skin from environmental damage while also improving signs of aging. It brightens, it tightens, it’s seriously the one product I can’t live without.
Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier – The word acid may through you off but this is an incredibly hydrating product. It helps improve skin firmness and plumpness and reduces the look of crow’s feet, and mouth lines.
Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 – Not surprising this is an award winning facial cream. It works by restoring skin lipids to improve the look of skin fullness, texture and pores. It’s lightweight and incredibly hydrating. It also helps shorten the adjustment period to retinoids. I always give up on using retinol before my skin can adjust, but I started using this in conjunction with SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.5 and my skin has been doing great.
A.G.E. Eye Complex – Helps with crow’s feet and puffiness which has been one of my biggest issues lately (never used to be a concern for me-I think it just came with age).
SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.5 (night only) – I was using this before I had my facial but not consistently. Kerri suggested trying again 2-3 nights a week and my skin has been doing really well. They did also just come out with a Retinol 0.3 if you’re really sensitive.
Thanks to SkinCeuticals for Partnering with me on this post. All opinions expressed are my own.
Really excited about this post! I was wondering how you would like these products. I can’t wait to try these serums and get over to R.I. Facial Aesthetics !
Yes I am scheduling another appointment there it’s a great medical spa!
Hey Jess! Have these products replaced the ones you mentioned in this post? https://www.jessannkirby.com/2018/11/my-morning-night-skincare-routine.html
Just curious! (I LOVED SkinCeuticals’ Phyto+ serum but transitioned away from the brand because I wanted something cleaner—I use True Botanicals now. Curious to hear your thoughts! The C E Ferulic does sound amazing.
Hi Megan, no for the most part nothing was replaced instead I alternate. Though the SkinCeuticals eye cream has replaced the others I was using because I finished those so just decided to use the SkinCeuticals one. I hear you, I really try to use clean whenever possible but honestly I haven’t used anything that has given me the same results as the C E Ferulic, the Retinol and the HA Intensifier. I’ll do a more in depth YouTube video of my routine (morning/night) because I alternate products pretty regularly depending on how my skin is feeling.
We bought a fixer upper in Vermont in the 80’s with 50 acres. We authenticated it totally and exposed beams , had Frye’s herbs hanging from the beams and it had such a cozy feel and look. It had wood floors and bRn siding in the kitchen. It was a beautiful home . I loved renovating it and living there for 10 years. I miss it still. Will you summer there and go skiing in winter? Best of luck !
That sounds incredible Lynn! I think our hope is to spend winter in Vermont and summer in Newport but we’ll see.
Hi Jess, New to your blog and love it! I use a retinol at night (every night) and was wondering if you find that the toner and the retinol is too intense, or do you feel that they pair well together? Do you use the toner on the nights you use the retinol? Thanks!
Thanks Meredith! So, you can definitely use toner and retinol together, I only use retinol about 2 times a week, but I don’t see the toner and retinol together being an issue. I use toner every morning and night, regardless of the other products I’m using.
