This is one of my favorite juice recipes because it’s packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants. It’s not too sweet and perfectly citrusy. After doing lots of research I bought the Omega Masticating Juicer. It works at a slower speed with minimal heat which means longer lasting juices and extracting the maximum amount of nutrients. I find that juice without pulp (less fiber) tends to enter my system faster so if I’m feeling under the weather this gives me an instant boost. You also don’t have to peel the fruit before juicing, yes you can leave the orange peel on and it will remove it for you! The juicer can also be used for making nut butters, ice cream, etc. I throw the peel scraps into our compost pile so there’s basically no waste leftover. Here’s what’s in my morning sunshine juice (make sure you thoroughly wash produce before juicing)…
Ingredients (makes approx 2 glass mason jars)
4 oranges
3 green apples
6 celery stalks
8-10 carrots
1 small piece of ginger (peeled)
