Jacket Weather: Saturday Stroll

12 Sep 2020

It’s sweata weatha! Thank gawd. Actually this morning was straight up jacket weather. Summer always goes by SO fast here but I really love that crisp fall air. Today’s theme is Saturday Stroll and of course I had to round up the squad for that. Officially accepting the fact that from now on we will never have a family photo where everyone is looking at the camera but I love Marin’s hype level. She’s always stoked. Here’s what I’m wearing: Sezane Colette Mariniere (small), Patagonia Back Pasture Jacket in Sage Khaki (Medium-I sized up), Etica Denim Tyler (Paradise City), Sam Edelman Gala Sandals (still wearing sandals because I know in a few weeks my feet won’t see the light of day for months).

For today’s theme I am partnering with Ashley of Everyday Pursuits. I met Ashley years ago at some blogging event I didn’t want to go to. I was first starting out and didn’t know ANYONE. Those things can have a tough crowd and as an introvert it was excruciating for me, but Ashley was SO beyond nice and inclusive. She invited me to sit with her at lunch which might have felt like a small gesture to her but it felt HUGE to me. She’s such a genuinely kind and lovely person and she just had a beautiful baby girl named Luna who’s only a few months younger than Marin, I hope they can meet one day. I love following Ashley for her laid back, cool LA style, gorgeous home decor taste and incredible travel content (pre-Covid days). Ashley’s charity of choice for me to donate to on her behalf is an amazing organization, the Downtown Women’s Center in LA. The Downtown Women’s Center focuses exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women in Los Angeles. Thanks Ashley!
