It should not be an issue if the candle is nontoxic. The problems arise when candles are made with the toxic ingredients I’ve mentioned including synthetic fragrance and paraffin wax.

I have a coworker who says you shouldn’t burn scented candles when pregnant, but I wonder if that also includes non-toxic candles?
