Happy Monday! As promised I rounded up my favorites from Sephora for their Spring Savings Event. I have VIB Status so I can’t shop quite yet. But all the dates and details are below. I feel like I’ve had the opportunity to test so many products over the last year, and a lot of them have been amazing. I tried to trim this list down to the best, and I inevitably always feel bad for leaving something off, but these are all products I reach for again and again. My skin went through a lot of changes during pregnancy and then postpartum, so this round-up of products, especially skincare, has been working really well for me lately.
You’ll probably recognize the majority of this list because I talk about them often, there’s a few newbies too! Anything you have your eye on? I know everyone seems to be talking about MERIT and I definitely want to try the brand, but I already have too many other products to test at the moment. If any of you like it, let me know! Here’s the dates and details for the Sephora Spring Savings Event:
- 4/9-4/19 – 20% off for Rouge Members with code OMGSPRING
- 4/13-4/19 – 15% off for VIB Members with code OMGSPRING
- 4/15-4/19 – 10% off for Insider Members with code OMGSPRING
My Favorites From The Sephora Spring Savings Event
What I’m Buying
I got this Glow Recipe Body Cream as a gift from the brand and I used it to the last drop. Definitely re-ordering, it’s perfect for summer. Super lightweight and creamy, absorbs quickly, doesn’t feel sticky and I LOVE the smell.
I always get the Necessaire Body Wash (in Eucalyptus) when it goes on sale (Craig likes it too). I also really love the hand cream. It’s nothing fancy, it’s fragrance-free but it really works, and it absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy.
This Barbara Sturm face lotion is more than I typically spend on a single skincare product but I really want to know what the hype is all about. I’m curious if this will improve some dark spots that I just can’t get rid of, so figured I’ll try it while I can get it on sale.
Sunscreen and Self Tanner
I know I’ve been such a mega fan of the Supergoop GlowScreen BUT I’ve recently switched to the Mineral SheerScreen and I like it better. I have some sun damage and dark spots which means I really should be wearing a mineral sunscreen and this is the best I’ve tried that doesn’t leave a white cast and looks great under makeup.
I love the Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops for face. I mix a few drops in with my face lotion (usually at night with my skincare routine) to get a subtle glow. Less is more when you’re starting out. I use medium.
For body self-tanning I like the Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Mouse (in Medium). I have the body butter and the tanning water too, and of all three I would pick the mousse. I think applying with the mitt (or any self-tanning mitt) gets the most even, flawless tan.
For summer I use the Drunk Elephant Bronzi Drops for a sunkissed glow. I mix it in with whatever I’m wearing, foundation, tinted moisturizer or just sunscreen.
Skincare
These are some of my tried and true favorites:
Farmacy Honeymoon Glow is one of my all time faves. So good for exfoliating, my skin always looks amazing the morning after using it. It has ingredients AHAs, BHAs and hyaluronic acid for exfoliation and hydration.
The best at home peel I’ve tried, the GoopGlow Overnight Glow Peel is so good. Especially when my pores are feeling clogged or my skin is just feeling dull. I use every 2 weeks typically.
My favorite toner I’ve been using for years!
The ILIA Lip Wrap Hydrating Mask is the perfect combination of a lip balm and lip mask. It’s not too heavy, super moisturizing, and it makes lips feel buttery soft. I wear it day and night (great for under your mask because it doesn’t leave a mess behind).
I have two Vitamin C serums to recommend.
The first is this one from Youth To The People. If you want something for de-puffing it’s amazing. The second one is this Vitamin C serum from Biossance. I’ve been using it for almost two months now and I’m so impressed with how my skin looks. I notice a difference/improvement in my sun damage/dark spots and overall skin texture.
I’ve also been testing this Ole Henriksen Vitamin C moisturizer for almost two months now and I love it, especially for spring and summer. It’s very lightweight but still super hydrating for my dry skin. I don’t even remember the last time I had a breakout. This locks in moisture but never feels heavy or greasy.
The Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleep Mask is one of my go to products at least once or twice a week. I slather it on after serum overnight and wake up with hydrated, refreshed skin.
This is basically like at home microdermabrasion. It’s one of my favorite treatments and my skin always feels so clean after.
I don’t even want to admit how many eye creams I’ve tested. Some have been pretty good, but this one is definitely the best. It makes my under eyes look hydrated, refreshed and less puffy, I’d call that a win.
Hair
I swear by this Briogeo Avocado Mask. My hair is so much healthier and shinier if I’m consistent with it.
I LOVE Olaplex No. 3 Perfector. It is perfect for in between salon visits, which let’s be real has been a VERY long time lately. When I notice my hair starting to get dull I use this and it brings it back to life.
I’m a big fan of Rahua so I finally decided to try their Color Full Shampoo and it’s SO good. My hair was noticeably less brassy, my blonde was brighter and it was super shiny. I’ll be honest I don’t love Rahua conditioners but this shampoo is a standout.
This is a prewash treatment oil I got over the winter. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t weigh hair down, I have fine hair and it washed out really easily. My hair is super soft and shiny afterwards and it smells amazing. I use this typically overnight and wash my hair in the morning. Here’s a video I did showing how I use it.
Makeup
I have been majorly hyping up this Tatcha eye treatment but it’s really that good. It’s basically makeup and skincare in one. It’s hydrating, doesn’t settle into fine lines, smoothing, and brightening.
My go to foundation for glowy, dewy natural looking coverage. I use shade 4 Formosa.
I’ve been using this Saie Glowy Super Gel Dewy Highlighter lately and it makes my skin look so good. Some days I wear it alone with SPF. It also looks good mixed in with foundation or as a highlighter. You can use it as a primer, a highlighter or both. I like that it’s glowy but not shimmery or sparkly (I have it in Starglow).
Love this Ilia mascara for volume and length and it doesn’t flake off (I don’t wear it on my bottom lashes).
This Sephora Clean Bouncy Eyeshadow Palette is a new discovery and I absolutely love the colors and application. It has gorgeous buildable shades with great color payoff. It stays put all day and don’t crease at all.
I have this Tower28 Beauty Cream Blush in a few shades but right now my favorite is Rush Hour. A really pretty peachy pink.
I pretty much use the Saie Brow Butter everyday no matter what. A groomed brow makes me feel put together, even when I’m definitely not. I use medium brown, but one thing to note, this will not really fill in your brow, it’s more for adding volume and giving a feathery look. If you want to fill in and give your brow more definition I like this pencil from Kosas.
Tools
The NuFace is pretty much the only facial tool I use at this point. I try to do it at least 2x a week, the more you use it, the better the results. Consistency is key, while you might notice immediate results, it’s most noticeable after a few weeks. Try one side of your face first and you’ll typically see how lifted and toned one side is compared to the other. If you don’t mind not being able to switch the attachments the Mini is your best bet!
