Button Front Sweaters

4 Oct 2021

Outfit details: Old Eileen Fisher Cardigan Coat (same style different color here – runs big), Sézane Sweater (wearing small), Sézane trousersSam Edelman loafersABLE tote (JAK20 for 20% off).

I knew from the moment I laid eyes on it that this button front sweater from Sézane was going to be a favorite in my wardrobe this fall and winter. It’s a thicker rib knit with a slightly higher neckline and gorgeous button detailing. It’s also a merino wool, organic cotton blend which makes it more soft and less itchy. I did get some requests from those of you who can’t wear wool so I found some cute button front sweaters made without wool. I love this style because it looks chic and you can wear it with anything, dressed up or down. I’ve worn this knit with trousers, jeans, and even over a dress. Here are some cute button front sweaters for fall.

Button Front Sweaters

Faherty Brand Mikki Henley – This is the perfect cross between a shirt and a sweater made with cotton and cashmere. A great style for layering.

Lunya Cotton Silk Pocket Henley – This looks so cozy. It comes in several colors and would be a great option for wearing with leggings or skinny jeans.

Sézane Lou Jumper – I always love a classic stripe. The v neckline and scalloped sleeve detail add a feminine touch.

Sézane Ewen Jumper – I absolutely love the button detail and plaid shoulder patches on this. So fun for fall and would be a great sweater for holiday.

Lunya Cotton Silk Waffle Henley – Similar to the other henley style from Lunya without the pocket detail in a peachy tan color.

  2. Wow, I love the look of this sweater! I’m really trying to learn and lean into minimalism and building a closet I shop long well into the future. I can’t help but think this one would make a fantastic addition to my fall and winter capsules. Now if only Texas would be a little more forgiving with its heat so I could wear without sweating.
