Our Kitchen: The Before

I am so happy to finally share the inspiration and design ideas for our kitchen renovation. We’re partnering with Lowe’s on our kitchen and bathroom renovations and taking you along throughout the process. From the moment we first saw our new house we’ve been overflowing with ideas. It’s been really fun working together to make it our own.  For those of you that don’t know, before Craig became a full-time photographer he worked in construction and plastering. Labor is a huge expense when it comes to renovations so doing almost all of the work ourselves (aside from some plumbing in the bathroom and kitchen) is saving us a ton of money. We both really wanted a country farmhouse look with some mid-century modern touches. Since our kitchen is an open concept connected to the living and dining area we wanted it to compliment the decor and design in those spaces. Working with a budget of $4000 we are transforming this old, dark and dated space into the kitchen of our dreams. I’ve shared our secret Pinterest board so you can check out where we found inspiration and how we’re bringing the vision to life with Lowe’s. Stay tuned for the final reveal. We’ve been filming the process too so we will share a video of the process once we’re done.

Thank you to Lowe’s for partnering with us on this project by gifting us product to renovate our kitchen. As always all opinions expressed are my own.

    Hello!

I was inspired by your choice to use the geometric pendants and decided to use them in my own kitchen renovation! However, I am toiling with what lighting fixture to use in my eat in kitchen area near the island. What chandelier would you use that would pair well with the pendants? Thanks!
